As a first step we will stop in Perugia, the capital of this beautiful region, to admire the magnificent cathedral dating back to 1345 with his paintings and the magnificent Palazzo dei Priori, then walking within its medieval walls you can admire the elegant Fontana Maggiore designed between 1275 and 1278 by Giovanni Pisano. Before leaving, we suggest that linger in a typical ciccolaterie of the city, remembering that Perugia is ALSO famous for being the capital of the Italian chocolate.
The tour continues to the town of Assisi, better known as the city of the Patron Saint of Italy, St. Francesco (1181-1226). He has dedicated the Basilica considered one of the finest in the world where inside there are frescoes by Cimabue, Giotto, unfortunately badly damaged in the earthquake of 1998, but later restored with loving care.
The story of San Francesco brings us inevitably to Santa Chiara, she to Perugia and pivotal character in Italian history. She is dedicated to the beautiful Basilica of Santa Chiara (1257).
